To me, it seems, we are straying from Shadowbane because as of late I have been away from teh forums for 2 weeks (bad linux ISO, had to reformat). All this DAOC talk and all is beginning to make me wonder. Tell me we are still all gonna play SB.

I'm buying shadowbame, no questions asked. I play the first month for free... If I like it, I stay. If it sucks, I'll probably go back to DAoC.

All the big shadowbane plans were ditched... Nameless Empire crumbled... Some will do shadowbane while others will not...

Im in line with Guyute. I will play it but well see how long. I've already played the game but am interested in the competition it may bring. I should correct Barbos on something though. NE was nothing more than BWC with about 10 other members maybe. BWC is as strong as ever, we just thought NE (name) would fit better into the guild structure of Shadowbane.

NE had a large structure planned... and it was abandoned... regardless of the composition of members

I'm also buying it for sure, if it does suck alot though, I'll probably just play tactical shooters and FPS's untill another comes out, I'm getting bored with DAoC...

I borrowed a friend's beta login so I could try Shadowbane, last night. It's true that the graphics and the movement system suck. In fact, all the starting character models remind me a lot of the ones in Dungeon Siege, and they're about as varied. The terrain looks like it was drawn with crayon.
However, the character customization potential is really immense, it will be very hard to find 2 characters that are exactly alike skill-wise. And I gimped my first character by giving him really low int. You need high intel on all characters because it affects how well they learn skills.
The Guild System is really deep and well-thought out, also.
I'll have to see how good the engine handles large battles, but trying to click and move in a crowd seems like it will be a bitch.
It will be a gankfest. If you get killed, your corpse is lootable.
I'll keep playing it. If enough people try it, it might be fun.

Well I have been in for a long time now the game is awesome the beginning doesnt say anything about the game and you really cant judge it if you only play up to lvl 30 even. The guild system city building politics Is just awesome. Since you can PK anytime you want anyone you want your actions play major roles in the politics. One of your guild members kill some other guilds members you have a full fledged war and it wont end till someones city is in ashes. PvP is just fun. I guess it helps that HEL owns and we are allied with the best players in the game so we Kick a lot of ass but we are strong in SB and I personaly would like you guys to play I havent forgot Nameless Empire and HEL will be there to help anyone out.

Yeah, no kidding... the game isn't even out yet. I for one am not gonna quit playing daoc to sit around in eager anticipation of SB's release while my entire guild is still playing daoc.

When SB comes out, people will play it. How can you expect us to quit Camelot for an un-released game? I mean... sitting around and saying SB is kewl, and sucking each others dicks sounds fun and all, but I'd rather play daoc until it comes out.

See you in SB.

Well you can clearly see this guys must suck at the game because every person who sucks at hate it. The game really isnt for anyone not hardcore PvP not only that but you have to be good at it.
