ya it is pretty old but very funny and what is even more funny is seeing LA ppl and other gankers come cry about it

and say it is wrong for ppl to judge there style of play =/

LA = mad board warriors. I know there are a lot of LA fanbois out there but a lot of people know they were just the most outspoken VN gank group. Rhafe spoke about how Xario could not play a bard worth shit and several of their players were average performers. Their group concepts were very good and in a game like DAoC that is what matters the most. I know Jaap and the old school ES guys were not always impressed with them. Maluv is a fucking crybaby and no one should be surprised at his whiny ass ~

hey, it takes time to be good at a class. give xarrio another month on bard, and he would have owned. the way they methodically work on their game exceeds nearly all daoc guilds I've played with.

although me and ken have learned a few things from them. so when i play on merlin, i will talk shit to guildies if they mess up

I will also point out exactly how I did wrong. no other way you'll get better. i'll expect some people to get real defensive when people start telling them they suck, especially guildies, but i'll just hope it passes. otherwise you'll always get rolled by mediocre groups and never get any notoriety in game, which is a good reason why some of us play daoc... to be server-reknown badasses. empty criticism is useless. if people say stuff but aren't specific on how you f'd up, they're useless and should have just shut up in the first place.

yes, the game is played for fun. but my idea of fun is winning. pushing buttons is as fun as it is in mario bros. the feeling of accomplishment is what daoc has over mario bros.

Could not agree more. Play to win or get the fuck out.

BTW, Rafe is picky as hell. Xario is not the first person he has critiqued. I believe LA was diesel and I have said this on VN and our boards; but it did not surprise me that they cried on the given thread. Those guys are submersed in VN drama.

Wow, if you guys think Rhafe is worth a shit I feel really sorry for you. He is one of the most horrible gamers I've ever seen who scammed his way around DAoC. He couldn't play his Hero for shit, His Reaver for shit, his Merc for shit. I think he used 3 styles total, couldn't dance, couldn't assist, couldn't do much to be honest.

i play for fun and winning is a part of that but i will in noway tell someone hey you fucking peice of shit you suck ass god your fucking wirthless and then boot them

i would say hey heal at this time try do do this etc. give them hints and tips and try to be nice while telling them being a complete jackass to ppl does not help in the least bit

if you boot them they won't get better. i would cuss them out if i didn't think saying it nicely would get it into their heads though.

the only way you can make the average joe a better gamer is by making him want to improve. whether he wants to improve for himself, or whether he is guilted into improving to not let you down, from a motivational standpoint, you've won. when they get better, they feel better about themselves in the end anyways.

if they try to improve and fail and feel like shit, then you have a decision to make. this person who sucks is holding you back. those are the worst decisions to make. i do hope that no one in bwc is hopeless like this though

and i would remove myself i don't play with asshats forcing ppl into guilt trips is pathetic way to do anything ppl who are not good at one class should try another they are good at or want to play

ppl should be taught how to play not forced or ridaculed into the ground the only time you should bitch if they are being very stupid on there toon after teaching them diff methods on what t do in diff situations also not all learn from being told things they learn from experience

i am a casual gamer and with the same gear and buffs as high rr outstanding ppl i can learn and play almost all classes to there fullest by teaching myself watching others and listening to instructions

If you think you're doing just fine and I see you aren't and give you hints after hints on how to improve and you don't in anyway, and I go off on you then you had it coming in my book. You wont get any better unless you listen to those Elitist assholes who yell at you because they afterall, know how to play better then anyone and prove it daily.

Rhafe plays Cedear on Merlin. I did not see anyone say Rhafe is a pwnstar. As a matter of fact he is very good at ripping on himself. My point was if you think you own, try joining a game when it is released...not master it 4 years out of the box, when any 12 year old that can read can get all the info he needs off VN. Gaming is a cycle. Everytime I am in an alpha or beta I am playing against 25% of the same people. The people that can actually chew up real learning curves...not rolling the left overs. It is sad but you have about 18 months of competitive gaming before gamers' move on to the next big thing (or hopes of).

My other point was that dude from LA and several others on that thread are whinny bitches. That story was funny as fuck. I do not agree with the write up but no one was supposed to. It's fucking humor. Go watch the Horse Whisper if you want realism.

^^ that is diff from just plainly being an asshole you gave them hints and tips to help and they still didn't listen so fair game :biggrin:

you should have given that thane at amg a few hints cripp

I did give that thane a few pointers... I just did SOM infront of him and Drutt who were camped there waiting for it and I rolled up an dpwnt it in front of them, appealed them and now they are in trouble

Yea Law I agree to a point, but right now it's a way different game then it was when it was released... I pwned then too, just in a zerg !
