With the influx of all the new supp SM's due to Modernagrav, I have a new (or already thought of used) strategy for our groups with 2 or more SM's in it. I know what your thinking....Keabit on strategy? Yes. It came to me today while I was sitting on the.....well, you know.

The pain train still dominates the RvR landscape when it comes to 8v8 and even 16v16. My thought is, if 2 supp SM's are in a group, one should be the Main PBAE. Seem's to be the best way to annihilate the enemy MA.
For instance. If say....Celes has the MA train on her, hold still, don't run, wait for Jahlria and I to run up and pbae the 3-4 tanks on her. They'll either split up with at least 2 or 3 of them dead, which works. Or, they all panic and switch targets.

Jahl and I teamed up last night in Odin's and did really well together. Especially when we get our casting speed maxxed. 2 pbae casting 1 to 1.5 sec and pet intercept>4-6 tanks.

If this has already been thought of, or I should have been doing all the time? Then i'm and idiot, as you all have come to know.

Just a thought.

thats sort of the job pbaers in a group already does.. either stand back with the support classes, and use ranged DDs/AOE str-con debuff, and when one of those silly bastards come charging to kill your sessy named healer, you just spam the pbae for the win button and save her life. =)

SM's are a great class... i freaking miss mines =(

Back when I had my ice wizard we used to do this whenever possible. Assisting pbaoes are mean. In fact we'd help the assist train out and run up to them.

Bulor, Warcat, Smitty and I are all in WoW Rhuac. No joke. It's a little slow sense they were hacked ~

Was it an alpha version that was leaked? How are you guys playing if they're hacked? Someone has their own server setup or something?

Ahh I read Law's post wrong I think. I should have read it, "The game has been slow ever since they were hacked."

I assumed he meant the version he was playing was hacked and thus it was running slow? Silly me.

Actually Philll, I'd prefer that pbae moves to a point and then stays there. I've always been trained that when in trouble from melee, RUN TO PBAE. But if both of us are moving, then sometimes it's hard to set it up.

There are no absolutes, sometimes I should run to you, sometimes you to me, but if you aren't running around it's easier for us to find you.

yea rhu, i do have those chars.. infact i should update my warlock to level 15 =)

the alpha leak isn't as bad as ppl think it is.. all the hackers have is a 2000 meg game that they can't login to.

the game itself tracks ip along with your login name, so if someone does have there account "shared" it will get axed in a heart beat.

also, setting up a server wont happen with just having the client side files.. you need all the server side goodies.


as for the game itself, it's fun, needs some adjusting that will come in beta. leveling is easy(all optional quest) like.. collection 12 worg hearts... so you go off killing worgs collecting the hearts.. hand them in, and get a nice XP chuck(+the xp from killing the worgs, just seems to make things go so fast)

Yeah just the wording Law used confused me into thinking that someone had hacked Blizzard and got the client and server side code... silly me.

I really hope WoW is better than DAOC... hope.
