I think its pretty nuts. If we could press on the Master Levels a bit more, we could do this too :)

We're pretty far along as a guild. I would like to move on to ML6/7 this weekend.

Let me be the first to say "yes but...."

This was a hib exploit

Those hibs accomplished what they did due to several factors, the key ones not being available to mids
* Power regen fields (which we have)
* Power drain traps (which we have)
* Power regen fields allowed their multiple animists to spawn hundreds of shrooms at the RK
* Then the convoker L9 ability to ae buff all nearby pets made their shroom fields invincible
* Heal wards kept shrooms healthy

So 200 shrooms was enough to defeat 40 albs. But we don't have anything equivalent.

So when you say that you want us to spend literally hundreds of more hours - which future ML's are the ones you think will be decisive? Becuase as mids I just don't see which future ones above level 4 or 5 are worth the effort at least in the convoker and perfector lines.

Battlemaster 8 looks ok, the rest look crappy after 4
Banelord abilities look ok but not battle decisive
Convoker above 4 doesn't impress me. Brittle guard maybe, but pet won't sprint with me
Perfector 9 perhaps, but perfectors big MLA's were below 5
Soujourner line sounds great at L8 and 9
Stormlord 9 maybe for interupts, otherwise bleh
Spymaster has some ok ones
Warlord's value is about the same throughout the line

My point is, we've already got the big hitters. I just don't see which future abilities for us to gain sound all that awesome.

I agree with Josh, unless someone has a key ability, I rather see artifacts leveled such as the cat, and the egg... otherwise we waste hundreds of hours of time getting a ML ability that doesn't really help us with anything.

Kim, you have done tremendous work in this area and people love you for it, including me, and we still want to follow you for the win. But we need to make sure we are getting people to the places they need to get, I think its a pre-req for RVR that someone has to have LW1, maybe they also have to have ML3.

I am all for PVE as necessary, but we need to get this guild back to its bascis of good RVR and skills. Whether thats emain pharmage or Albion fort fun.

Well, they didn't take a relic.

I agree the animists pet thing was insane. They used that same method in killing the ML9 boss mob. I guess thats the problem with Mythic not fully testing the Master Level abilities before selling their product to the masses.

My deal is to get through this Master Level ordeal so we can just focus on RvR period and not let it hang over our heads months on end to full completion.

Yes, don't let what I said detract from the monstrous effort you've put into getting us all to the ML's where we currently are. The main reason Mid merlin has people at ML6 is you Celestrial. And we've gotten some really sweet abilities like power traps and heal wards, power wards, and seige styles. Those are huge.

And some of you may want to finish it just to say you did. Nothing wrong with that. But for me, I don't see the payoff in my line.

Also Gun brings up a valid point, artifacts can be just as important. Imagine if every skald in BWC had a crocodiles tear ring and we helped them level it to 10 so that one skald could speed an entire zerg. Thats as powerfull as any master level ability. But if our skalds don't have the time to be huge power gamers it won't happen without our help. Imagine if we did the same for our runemasters with PBT... And if we could convince ganedar to stay suppression. A whole zerg with 6 sec pbt! WOW

Imagine if every seer in BWC had an egg of youth for PBAE rez. I know I had help from the guild to get mine, as did Subshack and Thangore. I appreciate that. I hope it helps us all.

Imagine if more than 1 tank in BWC had bruiser levelled to 10, we could take down relic doors in 4 minutes.

Aens having spear of king when it gets to 10 will help the whole zergs melee and defense almost as much as a relic. Kynthia and Evat having Cloudsong will do the same for magic range and chance to land spells. These are individual artifacts that have a large impact on us all. Thus, these are the ones we should be helping guildmates to get.

There are other relics, you get my point.

What about when all these artifacts...
[scroll]DECAY!DECAY!DECAY![/scroll]

And hasn't there been evidence lately that items including artifacts are decaying quickly? Plus your character can only get each artifact once...

Rhuac I've got 4 active artifacts. I solo levelled them to 10 killing about 1600 yellow/orange con harpies. Through that levelling their condition went down to 92% but when repaired to 100% my items still had 100% durability.

All this complaining on VN about durability... I haven't experienced it.

supposedly the durability on artifacts is set high enough that it shouldnt fall below 100% before its level 10. im not sure how accurate that is as you use the artifact in other things like rvr or pve that isnt related to that specific artifact. i know that i used bruiser from level 0 to level 6 and in rvr for a good while, and its probably lost a total of 20-30% con overall, but ive repaired it to 100% each time and it still has 100% dur. in all honesty, i think my artifact will be in the game longer than i will... so i wouldnt worry too much about it decaying. oh, and ive been wearing only the golden scarab vest in all rvr/pve for several weeks, still 100% dur. by the time im done with pve i wont be worried about it decaying. i die more to casters on walls than anything as it is, and there is only like a 1/6 chance they will hit that piece of armor anyways ;p
