Anyhow, to my point. I'm yet again following Gundorf to the holy land of RPs. Except this time he made it to two servers away before I decided to tag along. By the time I got my infil to 50 on Guin he had jumped to Lance and then back here to Merlin.

Unfortunately I was an idiot and sold my old account with my shaman here on Merlin. This time around I think I'm going to go Skald. Anyone have anything negative to bring to my attention about them? As far as I can tell there seems to be alot of potential there... It's either Skald or I make a healer... I always liked my healer.

And then if I get fed up with slow soloing I could always make a BD hah.

I think skalds have the best of both worlds - spell and tank abilities. There have been some decent changes lately in spell abilities, and the ML abilities follow the supportive nature of skalds. It's usually very easy to get a group in RvR as moving faster is important when ganking those Albs & Hibs. I would highly recommend creating a skald toon - and I'm not prejudiced towards skalds.....well, maybe....

Yeah decent melee damage, if I'm not mistaken, coupled with the ability to insta mez and snare seems to have potential. But I noticed fairly recently they added higher lvl DDs to the battlesong list (same for minstrels). Is it worth specing to 50 to get the last DD and resists? I was thinking something like 50 songs, 39 axe, and rest in parry, or should I take my primary weapon up higher? Or perhaps change weapons altogether?

i've heard some gimps go 44bs 49weapon... but i'm happy with my 46bs 5parry 47weapon... small kobbieskalds F'n rock I dont care what people think. :satisfied:

I was thinking something like 50 bs, 39 weapon, and I think 18 or 20 parry... 0 points left over heh. But then again how much of a difference in damage will I be seeing compared to a 47 or 49 weapon spec? I did think about healer(i did love my healer oh so much) but then I couldn't solo to 50, and that's pretty much what I'll be doing.

Gundorf is a dirty liar. It's been at least a month since I've been over, what with all the holidays and trying to avoid the chode parties he disguises as card nights.

What's new in life... ummm I moved across town, got a new job and a new girl. That about sums it up.

I am no longer a cook. I'm now chained to a computer deep within an office building.

On the up side I have a new car, and I'm about to finish my associates, if that counts for anything. Oh oh and I just got an Xbox for Xmas. So anyone that has any live games to recommend I'm ready willing and mostly able. And I need people to play with. It's ever so lonely here in the cave.

On your BD comment .... they rock until 40 solo then it's tough going since they are the most unfriendly group class in DAOC. Also tons of fun in the BG if you haven't already tried one.
