currently 516 players in the alpha.
I was invited months months months ago, but now is when they finally opened the doors.
You can't sign up, you actually have to have a inner connection with blizzard to be apart of it.

after playing for my first night.

basic styles, and battles.. are so far cool. Weapon styles are the pretty. and have a random animation for them.. so it's not the same ole style over and over., i have had almost Zero downtime juming from mob to mob.. the game doens't use endo for styles (use mana for power but no endo), styles are on timers.. and the more you use a style, and or weapon.. the more your skill with that style increases to the cap of your level, then you ding.. and can increase that wepaon skill again.

so graphiclly.. things look a lil cuter then daoc.. (which is a good vibe) and the female models.. have a good selection of skins and such to play around with.

there is no real PvP yet., for we are only testing the humans.. but there is Duels.. so for those that think they will not have PvP.. your wrong =)

Forget about getting Gundorf into the Alpha.

the only company i would pay 100 dollars per game but i cant seem to ever get in ANY beta dis is so gay!

questions do u know if all races can ally or not and for what reasons if they cant.

and if they can ally in PvE can they ally in RVR or PvP whicehver way they are handling it.

started craftin? is that any fun?

what kinda pc do u think we might b lookin at to use, even if its ur best guess.

and what kinda pc specs are u guys using does it have slowdown or have u even bumped up the gfx any?

There are 2 sides. Alliance and Horde. Alliance are the Humans, Dwarfs, Gnomes and Night Elves. Horde are Orcs, Tauren, Undead, and Trolls. As far as the information available reveals, you cannon group with a race from the oposite faction. IE, Humans cannot group with Orcs.

Speculation is RvR like PvP. Alliance vs Horde in certain areas of the world in one way shape or form. Blizzard is very hush hush about this.

If your lookin for more info wow.warcry.com is a good place to start. Also check Fires of Heaven's website. They are doing writeups about the classes as they get into them. I'm pretty sure they are the only authroized source of game info besides Blizzard.

Yea it is safe to say we will have some stuff out there but the NDA is very strict right now so give us some time. There are 5 BWC in WoW, more then any other 'already formed' guild besides FoH that I have seen. Well have all the classes, maps and other info BWC will need to succeed soon. I'll answer most questions via PM for now ~

started craftin? is that any fun?

Crafting really is not my bag, it's just a resource to pick up cash IMO.

Plays a lot like DAoC crafting in regard to clicking an icon and watching a bar cross your screen as the time sink. You gain ability points when you level and can spend those to develop a certain trade. More then one trade skill IS possible per to0n. Here is an example on game dynamics -

I have tailoring so I spend a point at a tailoring trainer to get the 'apprentice tailor ability.' This ability allows me to train my tailoring up to 75 in which time I will return to purchase the next tier. I will go into more depth later but am only half assing trades at this time and focusing on class/race and leveling.

A few notes on crafting -

Shorter time sink at this time then DAoC crafting
More simplistic. Its like they cut out all the meaningless shit Mythic has in play. Every item you craft has a purpose.
At least a dozen trades. Everything from cooking to gunsmithing...there's a bunch.
You farm your basic supplies from certain parts of the world map.

The alpha is very stable. The only lag I catch consistently is griffin rides. The griffs travel very fast and it skips a little loading all the input. Other then that I have no complaints. From what I hear a high speed connection is recommended (the game is not very 56k friendly at this time but should be by launch).

requirements were sent to the alpha testers and are subject to change.

PC: 800mhz or better PC running Windows 98/Me/2000/XP, 256megs RAM, 2 GB of free disk space, and a GeForce 2 or better video card.

MAC: 867mhz G4 or faster processor running Mac OS X 10.2.8 or higher, 256 MB RAM, 2 GB of free disk space and a GeForce 2Mx or better video card.

AS far as the graphs are concerned they are cartoony but the best I have ever seen. I kind of expected that as sad as that is.
