I've had some different opinions on Spec'ing my SM. I'm currently 41 Supp, 12 Dark, and 6 Summ. And i'm at lvl 43. With the nerfing of the "focus" pull coming soon and the resulting respec, i will respec the points from Summ and put them somewhere else.


But that's the question. I've spoken to some SM's in the guild with different opinions. My original spec was gonna be 49 Supp, 22 Dark. I've heard that's a great spec with the best PBAoE. I've also heard of going 41 Supp and 35 Dark (if those points work out right?). For more of a balanced player.


Does the 41/35 really balance you out that much? Or, will I miss having that 49 PBAoE? I don't want to gimp myself even tho both spec's sound good.


Some feedback would be nice. I have time to still /lvl without waiting on spec'ing.

at 32 dark you get your first good ranged AOE mez... at 22 dark you get nothing.

at 35 dark you get your based damage DD increased.. at 22 dark you get crap..

at 35 dark you get your yellow spirit resist... which lets your pbae do more more damage.. at 22 dark you dont =(

in rvr.. PBAE is't always used.. it's very situalual.. .. but as for a nice solid DD.. you can't go wrong taking down that caster which everyone seems to be missng out on.. i DD for avg 450 damage with resist.., then i have my emerangce lifetap whihc lets me suck around 300 life...i also have a 2 second pbae mez which is used when i'm in trouble.. and with qc it's basiclly a instant.

but i guess it's also play style.. i don't fully rely on the random healler that may be in my group to land a mez.. and at times.. with qc, i'm able to land a mez before a healer.. IF there isn;t one. i also have a nice aoe str/con debuff which allows me to cut off a solid 300 hp from it's victoms..

49 supp will basiclly cuase you to heavly rely on aoe stuns... and grouped albs.

41 pbae will allow you to pbae when you get the chance.. and DD when you don't.

Farfar is 49 sup 21 dark 8 sum, my pbae is nice both w/ and w/o stun thats is what moc is for my pbae does about 400-1000+ my dd`s hits for 150-300

49 sup for best pbae

21 dark for ae mezz

8 sum for nothing.

ae mez is nice, and pbae pwns all i sill mange 350nuke's in darkness as well
