Daemic got me satellite radio for X-mas. Since installing it in my car (portable type), I have bought the boombox for it. I can't say enough about it. No comeercials or the redundancy of same old CD's. The portable car kit was $99 (not including mounting kit), and boombox was $99. 60+ stations of commercial free music and the NBA, MLB, NFL and NHL on also.

I usually listen to new/indie stuff, or alternative. But, when i need a change of pace, i love the blues and classic jazz stations.

BTW. I don't work for Sirius, nor do i get a reference bonus when i refer them to Sirius. This thing has blown me away. I was really tired of the shit on the radio, and had no time to really explore/find new bands to listen to. I now listen to the radio more than i watch tv.

I have never been an enthusiast of the more obscure holidays like “Groundhog Day.” This type of holiday made more sense long ago when Doppler radar was not available and faith in groundhogs was stronger.
