Yes, I know that. I've been in 5 man groups with a bunch of the guild but never you or Cham or any of the other people who have repeatedly claimed that this guild is all about PvP.. Only time I've pvped with you was when we duoed awhile back.[/quote]

Because you are speaking on your own behalf. I have taken people repeatly out to pvp, be it 5 man or 10 man, or 15 man. I dont like pve, I hate it dont want to be a part of it, I think it borders on useless if all you do is pve every day loot everyday raid every day. And for what an extra 100hp some shiny purple? in the end its what you bring to the table not whats on your back. Am I saying pve is bad. Nope it has its time, but to continuely raid over and over and over wasting countless hours better spent saving small children in foriegn countries from starvation or malaria, or getting laid or what ever the hell you want to do, is far more important.

So I will make the Claim BWC is a pvp guild. If guys want to pve go for it role with monty or supra on those raids. Roll with whoever else wants to combine like jundy fiver. But think about it is it really worth wasting all that time so that maybe 3-40 ppl get good loot. It will proably be the ones with the best loot who dont compete in pvp. But in the end 9-10 ima be lord willing out in the ditches laying the smack down on the zerg

IF YOU SMELLLLLLLALALALALALALALALALALOW What the CHAM
is cooking

Dude can you make a single post without QQing?

Why don't you go post on a thread that involves your game. You don't play WoW therefore your opinion is meaningless.

Bye.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, Cham, it is worth it cause it's all there is to do in the game. Even you recognize it hence you disappeared. You didn't like the implementation of the honor system or you'd be there PvPing everyday all day.

And to be honest, what's the difference between the honor system and PvE raids? You're still farming for gear. One is for PvP gear, the other is for random drops from Mobs. The people who go to Hillsbrad on a daily basis are only farming. What are mages doing but AEing? Does that take any semblence of skill? No. They're trying to tap as many people as they can to get as much CP as they can. In 5 man groups, we run around and kill 2-3 people at a time. How often do we roll into a 5 man group? It's either we're severly outnumbered or we outnumber the opponents. Then what? We keep killing or go elsewhere to roll over some other outnumbered people. How much skill does it really take? Of course there are those rare occurances where you find another group of alliance and the fight is worthwhile, but those are so few and far between that the amount of time it takes to find that group of alliance limits the desire to PvP.

When BGs are put in, PvP will actually be fun. But at this point, it's no different than PvE. So you say PvE is worthless...well I turn it around and say PvP is worthless.

Don't get me wrong, I love PvP (not necessarily WoW's pvp atm, but PvP in general). I just don't see how you can criticize people for enjoying PvE or trying to find something to do in the game (like complete their armor sets), when you don't even play now. Because you hate PvE, you disappear. Because we don't mind PvE, we still play.

Edit:

There are two advantages I just thought of for doing MC/Onyxia as a guild. First, you get people working together. If you have ever done MC/Onyxia, you know it's imperative people listen and do what they're told to do. This is also important for a 40 man PvP raid in BGs.

Second, the people who get the items are the people you're PvPing with. Sure you might not get one everytime, but you will get something and that something could make a lot more difference than 100mp/100hp. What if you had the Earthshaker? http://wow.allakhazam.com/item.html?witem=17073

How useful would that be? What if someone else in the guild had it and was PvPing with you? There are tons of worthwhile weapons/shields/armor in those epic instances that are worth more than just 100mana/100hp. Items on guildies not only benefit them, but also benefits the guild. How can you complain about that if you're all gungho about the guild?

This is the kind of thing I worry about when we name a new GM. What is the guild going to become? Are we going to alienate some people in the guild because the GM feels that some aspects of the game are worthless? Are the people that enjoy both PvE and PvP going to have to find a new guild that compensate for that? I guess I'm just scared at the direction this guild might go if we're all anti-PvE since it's a MAJOR aspect of the game.

Depends on which direction the guild is leaning more to. PvP purely my vote goes for Cham. Pve with a bit of PvP on the side my vote goes for Monty.

There is a huge diffrence. When Lucifron sees players it knows to kill.

When players interact that is the bread and butter of what this game should be. Well on a pvp server at least, and yes the honor system is flawed just like pve is flawed with the huge time commitment.

Before I left I hit rank 6 even with a week off so yea I like to pvp. Which brings me to my next point When you fight other players things happen. Like when players fight DW sometimes they get stupid because they are so afriad to look stupid and be shown in a video.

When ppl fight Reso they bumb rush filth and toxy for whatever reason because they know about those guys.

I complain but I like pvp I like the fact there can be 4 diffrent shamans and 3 priests and still I will get 9 guys stapled to my ass trying there hardest to kill me because I am Chamcham. you dont get that in pve and you never will the closest you can get is Magmadar saying YOUR ASS IS MINE player01.

Sure getting 40 ppl using Raid Assist etc is semi challenging but in the end its become standard. While teaching someone to not jump off the boat for the umpteen time because 50 lvl 60s want a piece of that ass.

So yea in the end it comes down to what its about pvp. Id rather spend 2 hours in a bg (assuming its not ass) holding off the masses, leading the charge busting out the hacker and opening the biggest case of ass whipping since Mario Cantone came out the closet, then spend 2 hrs staring at a bar listning to guys giggle on ts because a purple dropped of a mob in MC trying hard as hell to be happy.

It's not about 40 people using Raid Assist. It's about 40 people implementing a strategy and following the leader who's barking out commands. It's about 40 people knowing what their role is and to do that role to the best of their ability. It's not as simple as a bum rush onto a mob and hope it dies.

As for PvP, yes there is some recognition, but for the mass majority of us who keep to ourselves and out of the political arena (Meaning we stay off the boards and don't interact with Alliance), that recognition hardly exists.

In a 5 v 5 world, you can generally tell who's the best PvPer, or who's the best group. In a 10 v 10, you can tell. In a 40 v 40, you can't because it's a mix of people of different ranks all getting CP from a kill that one of your members might have done. Leading charges, falling back, charging, falling back is great and all, but where is the skill? This recognition you talk of, this skill you talk of doesn't really exist in the game as it is now.

I can kill most people 1 v 1. That mostly has to do with my ability to play my class. Does that make me really skilled? Not really. I have a lot of options to use and know when to use them. In 5 v 5, our group normally rolls everyone...but we have the odds more times than not. Does that make us skilled? Not really.

I'm not saying PvE requires this super amount of skill but I don't think PvP does either and I think the benefit of PvE is the same as the benefit of PvP. Because you believe that PvP is everything doesn't mean that everyone believes that. There are things in this game that some of us guild members wish to partake in and can't because of the attitude that "why waste 4 hours when only 3-4 people will get loot." And if you go the direction where PvE is not even an option, then this is not the guild for me. I like both and I want to experience everything in this game, not just a single aspect I deem more important than another.

If I may interject my opinion.

Hall I will do a Star Pass then put you in a Rear Naked Choke.

Hm that sounds kind of gay.

Thank you.

I think Hall and/or Winke should lead.

Monty has been doing alot but the merger is still new and turning the reigns over to Monty at this point is just way to soon.

Keep a core member in the leadership position please. Someone who stands for what BWC stands for, PvP.

This will not hinder Monty's PvE raiding schedule and will give the guild more time to settle from all the recent changes.

my two coppers.

PS. D - you suck for leaving us. I am now forced to track you down, whoop your ass and steal your boat. I'm sorry, but you have lead me to this.

I find it VERY funny when people take the joy of killing people into something they can gain or benift themselfs from.

It takes skill to play PvP btw... thats the difference not phat lewt for yourself

The main question will be how many of these people will flake out on you when Bg's are in pace and were wanting to get a PVP Group together and they are too busy getting thier phat lewt..

I say give leadership to Hall so he can boot everyone of those fuckers.

Yup It's Like That
