This happens in every game and every guild in some form.

Myself when I joined BWC mostly because of my girlfriend Celes and wanting to play the game I bought for her together again since we kinda bailed on Hib-Morgan and all. But also the friendship I built with Law Doggy Dog made me want to be BWC.

I although not as active as I used to be due to running a fulltime gaming clan myself as leader for over 7 years now and the meanest bunch of SWG clowns out there on the Bria server LFD, know the truth behind friendships and "Tight knit" groupings.

I remember many good times exping and rvring with Josh, Keabit, Hall, Winke, the crazy Rolondo and many more. I knew BWC was a massive RvR force and was out to be #1 which well should be the case. On many a night I would solo rvr with my Bonedancer to get RP's not just for me, but the guild.

The thing about mixed guild groups is when you have your BWC's in one and some in another it really puts a headache on the members in the mixed group because they are forced to make a choice of not what group they are running in but their friends.

The problem with all that is, some of the members aren't on all the time so you are forced to run with other guilds members to RvR and what not in which you develop a good combination of friendship and groups with.

Another thing that hurts a group more then anything is when the person running their characters are running them on a system which barely can run the game and myself even with a nice system LD out in large battles on occation. Now, if I played a healer that would be certain headache and group disfunction for sure if I LD'd every fight damn near.

The best thing to do is use the Phishbone theory of RvR. Make sure you are equipted with a SKALD (Played by yourself) for the following reasons.

1. You don't have to be in the group and you can steal rp's from the others while keeping up with them since you can't get grouped due to the group being full.

2. Did I mention you can speed along with them and steal rps?

3. You have 2 DD's which usually assures you some rps from damn near every kill you are within range of. Did I mention you can steal rps?

4. And last but not least. Play the most UBER Lifetapping Cheesdipping Bonedancer ever grace the Merlin server. PHISHBONE! And steal some rps while you are at it..

All joking aside, the best thing to do when all else is failing is just form up the best group you can from remaining guildies and such and just do your own thing or whatever to have fun. I have lived by that theory from the 2nd week of being in BWC and I have never been unhappy here for that reason.

Phish, the only problem with that is you haven't played as much since people have become bloodthirsty rp whores. I've heard plenty of complaints when I was on my skald about my leeching rps off the main group. This is a problem that came up with aens and saabo and I would like to think that the rulings in that situation will follow through to everyone, no matter who they are. This guild is not an 8v8 guild. You do not come to mid merlin and join a guild with 90+ members to 8v8. To do so is to promote disunity and unrest among guildmates, as well as divide people up into "in" and "out" factions. There is no arguing this logic because that's exactly what happens. You get people that will always group together, and kick people when their friends log in even if they are in the same guild as you, they will talk shit when you fuck up, even though I know of plenty of situations that I have seen the "l33test" people in the guild fuck up in ways that are unimaginable.

One should never have to feel like a burden to their guildmates. If people within the guild are doing something to promote such feelings between more than just one person, then there is a fundamental issue that needs to be solved, otherwise friendships will be lost, and good people will leave for stupid reasons.

I'm busy/stressing about work etc. Not focused on what is going on.
