Agree Bulor it was another interesting night full of upsets. Rampage is very likeable. Poor ol Chuck looked a bit down after the whole thing was over. My friend was down for the fight (Ivan's sister is his girlfriend) and they went to party afterwards at some club. Salaverry, Tito and GSP were there...

I forgot Jardine is fighting as well ... always exciting. I agree Law, 72 looks like a pass. I think Dana White is riding a razor thin edge right now pushing PPV's it seems on a monthly basis. Guess he hopes to recover that $70M for PRIDE in short order. Ting is partly right that a lot of the promo ...

UFC 71 - The Return of Salaverry

With the acquisition of PRIDE Ivan returns to UFC. Original dispute centered around his loss to Nate and the fact that Nate tested positive for something and Dana refused to reverse the decision.

Other than the Liddell, Leben and Salaverry fights the card doesn't look that interesting.

Ditto quality over time to release. Only issue may be Blizzard having more time to create some form of PVP oriented expansion that could compete. I think that Blizzard really opened the MMO market wide open and brought a lot of newbs onboard. They will be itching for a new fix by the time WAR hits t...

Another shocker. Ironic that Gonzaga (mainly a BJJ'er) clipped Cro Crop with a lumber shot to the head much like Cro Crop finishes many of his opponents. 2007 may end up being the most exciting year in the UFC to date. Couture picked Gonzaga to beat Cro Crop before the fight ... he must have seen so...

Played closed beta for over a month. Game does have a nice casual feel about it but after about a month I slipped into boredom. I will probably pass on this title unless I get desperate for a fix.

Zoid whats your thoughts on Rampage v. Chuck? I would put my money on Chuck as he's not only been continuously getting better the past 3 years but he is the smarter fighter and has fully trained in most disciplines including wrestling. Most people see Chuck standing during his fights and that's bec...

Serra is a stand up guy ... at least from what I saw in UF4 series. Nice to see this guy get a little taste of fame.

All the divisions are pretty much stacked with talent with the PRIDE acquisition so I suspect we'll see more belts changing hands this year ... possibly numerous times :)

I'm still in shock.

Going into it I knew Serra had a punchers chance but in the end it still surprised me.

GSP seemed a bit jittery at the start too which didn't help but can't take anything away from Serra for his win.

Hughes was grinning at the end of it ... think he hates GSP hehe.
